St Brandon 1500 Evening Service – 17 September 2017

Easter Dawn Vigil – 5.30 a.m. 16 April 2017

The number of people attending this service seems to increase year by year. For those who have attended the services during Holy Week, following Jesus’ last days with his disciples and culminating in the despair of His crucifixion and death, the joy of this service celebrating His rising from the grave is palpable and real. We hope that these pictures give you a sense of that. Another joy is the sharing of breakfast in Brancepeth Castle provided with great kindness and welcome by the Hobbs family.

Parish Eucharist with Bishop Mark, Licensing of Rev. Alison Hobbs as Associate Minister and Confirmation of four candidates – 19 March 2017

The Steve Taylor Jazz Group and Singers – Saturday 4 March 2017

This event was organised as part of the “Talking Jesus” initiative. Members of the congregation brought friends and family to enjoy the evening with an attendance of around 120. Bishop Chris Edmondson was the guest speaker and gave a brief, insightful talk on the connections between Christian faith and music. We were treated to a great evening of music and refreshments. As you can see from the pictures, St Brandon’s restored interior lends itself beautifully to such events as well as being an inspirational space for worship, prayer and quiet reflection.
